What are the main features of Metrc?

Enabling Central Monitoring

Data retrieved through Metrc integrated devices are accumulated and assessed by delegated authorities, improves compliance across cannabis businesses throughout the industry.

Balancing Privacy & Transparency

While data may be accessible to cannabis compliance enforcers and authorities, it is completely private from business to business. Transactions, sales, and other business operations are not shared from one individually owned and operated business to the next.

Collecting Industry Data

Since Metrc collects cumulative economical and operational data, this program provides an overarching view of local and state cannabis industry operations and sales.

How is Metrc used?

Data Entry

Metrc requires extensive manual data entry in order to stay compliant. However, FloEnvy provides Metrc integration and automates the process. Be aware that not all 3rd party solutions are available in Metrc-states, unlike FloEnvy who is approved in all 15 states.

Metrc makes use of RFID tags that are attached to plants and products in an effort to enable regulators to trace the lifecycle of each item. Since FloEnvy is a Metrc approved cannabis software solution, tracking is a breeze with our mobile app.

Application Programming Interfaces - or APIs - are used to connect separate software solutions, enabling them to communicate. Metrc's API grants cannabis business solutions the ability to send data to Metrc directly.
